Wireless access in my department on 6th is dead so I moved myself and my laptop to the crusty 70's lounge furniture in the hallways of the 3rd floor. I quite enjoy the wireless here, but even better are the people that walk by me as I work. This blog has been created to capture the wonders of public work spaces.
I'm a TPS MA student in the final stretches of his thesis. I've been at OISE for almost two years and have a love/hate relationship with the place. Given the kind of creative and intellectual activity that goes on here, the possibilities for community are large. But there's something about the building and the culture here that discourages the kind of learning community I thought I could find here.

PBL is increasingly being used in professions like law as well.

It's interesting that you dropped out of law, and it's worth asking if the learning format had anything to do with it.
